or (Edison) born April 6th 1987,
raised in Denver, Colorado. A rapper/ghost writer/entrepreneur has been writing
lyrics since the age of 11. His exclusive way of expressing his feelings will
automatically catch your attention. “Rap
is my life therefore that’s what I rap. It’s important to me that people who hear my music becomes inspired,
and really understand anything is possible. I know where I’ve been and I know
where I am going.” Edison affirmed. Hearing the hunger in his voice and
witty word play on the microphone, Edison has already been compared to some of
the biggest names in the industry when it comes to lyrics. Edison truly may be
one of the realest rappers to ever touch a microphone. One of his biggest
influences he says is Jay-Z. “The first
time I heard Jay-Z, was in the back of my sister’s boyfriend’s Cadillac. The
song titled Can’t Be Life came on and I was like man I really feel what he is
saying. I went home and started writing like crazy. I was writing before then.
But that track let me know it was ok to do what I already started growing a
passion for. Ever since then I have been pouring my heart out.”
Edison has
always had a dream to change the perspective of the music world. Letting young
entrepreneur’s know there is no limit to goals in life, through his music. From
growing up not having almost anything to having everything all from hard work,
dedication, persistence, and a strong desire to accomplish his ultimate goal.
Giving hope to others is a big part to his personal inspiration. Since the
fourth grade, Edison went to a
different school every year all the way up to his graduation. Most kids would
have seen this type of lifestyle as very unstable. Not Edison “I feel it was God helping me explore and
expose my talent in many different ways.” Edison stated. That type of life
at such an early age helped him become the social and flexible artist he is today.
This versatile rap artist is really starting to make quite a buzz for himself
in his state. Edison has been part of a huge rap battle league in Colorado known
as Body Bags. This league is for
rappers to display creative ways to show off their lyrical talent in a
competitive way. Also doing live shows at multiple venues in different cities
like The Toad Tavern in Littleton, Colorado, McDough’s bar and grill in Aurora,
Colorado, Club Durozz also in Aurora, Woody Tavern in Denver, Colorado, Cervantes’s
located in Denver, Colorado and Bell’s Lounge in Colorado Springs, Colorado
adds to the resume of this great artist.
